Sunday Service

11am to 12:30pm

Rev. Kathy Zavada
returns to lead us in music, song, prayer and meditation.

Beloved friend,

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this news; our dearly beloved Jean Houston has left this earthly realm. Jean exited from her mortal form around 1:30pm on Saturday, May 16. Jean was deeply at peace, surrounded by loved ones in her home. We will miss her so very, very much, and yet we know that life does not end with the bodily form.

I would like to recommend if you feel to, to light a candle, and say a heart-felt prayer for Jean, chant a mantra, sing a love song, share with her in your own words the gratitude you feel in your heart for her. I feel sure she can feel our love, and our gratitude and positive energy is so precious and helpful to her in her present experience. See Jean merging into such an infinite light, so full of peace, bliss and an immensity of love. Take time to be still, with your heart open, mind, calm, and commune with beloved Jean. This will both bless her, and bless you in this precious form of communion that transcends form/formless being.

We send our loving condolences to Jean’s family and closest friends, and hold all who loved Jean close in our hearts at this time. I will let you know as soon as possible about the memorial arrangements for Jean. Let us hold each other closer right now, cherish each moment of each day, and remember our true nature as eternal being, even as we meet our profound grief and loss.

On a personal note, I have been so deeply touched by Jean, I will never be the same. And I am going to be in a deep inner time of communion in support and in reception to all that is possible beyond the limitations of formed and formless being, time and timeless being, the realm of mind, and the realm of the infinite blissful stillness.

With all my heart, I send you comfort and love,
Rev. Kathy

Marianne Williamson

We are incredibly honored to have Marianne join us via Zoom at the end of May. Rev. Kathy will be in-person leading us in music, song, meditation and prayer.

"A Morning with Marianne Williamson"

With the world experiencing a historic phase transition, humanity stands at a crossroads between the fall of Rome and a new world struggling to be born.

How can each of us more powerfully participate in the internal and external changes that will foster a season of global repair? How do we cultivate an integrative, holistic approach to regeneration, employing tools as disparate as meditation and social activism?

Join Marianne Williamson for a 21st Century conversation about where all of us are going now.

Meet our minister

Rev. Kathy Zavada

Discover how Rev. Kathy makes our services deeply enriching each week through her talks, music, and meditation.

With the unexpected passing of our dear friend Michael Stillwater on Sunday, February 15 and the profound heartbreak of that news, Rev. Kathy’s talk on The Sacred Work of Grief is particularly meaningful.

May this message be a healing balm for whomever is feeling grief, loss or sorrow.

The importance of gratitude

Making The Most of Each Day

Rev. Kathy Zavada, speaking at the inaugural service of Unity Community of Ashland, describes the importance of sangha in our world today.

In her talk, On Creating Unity Community of Ashland, she shares personal examples of how the mind can get stuck in unhappiness stories and how we can free ourselves of habits that create suffering. And, she examines the importance of gratitude and how we can make the most of each day of our precious human life.

Thank you!

Today’s Unity Community of Ashland with Kathy Zavada turned out to be much more than I could have dreamed for. UNIFIED in a LOVE SPACE 63 of us attendees became. So gentle, soothing, lovely. Both Kathy’s and Heather’s gifts of voice and musicianship, a heavenly duet.
