Ruth will share\, “Not This Again”\, a talk about the spiritual path to getting unstuck. \n\n\n\nFebruary 2nd is Groundhog Day where a small rodent is asked to predict whether we will have a long winter or an early spring depending on whether he sees his shadow or not.  \n\n\n\nIt is also the time of Imbolc which is celebrated this year on February 1st. It is the exact midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. It is associated with practices of clearing away the old and making space for new beginnings and kindling hope for brighter days ahead.  \n\n\n\nAre you feeling like you could use some inspiration for the days ahead? Are you feeling like you are in some kind of repeat loop with no end in sight? \n\n\n\nJoin me for a revisit of the timeless spiritual wisdom in the movie Groundhog Day and a closer look at how we get unstuck. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Rev. Ruth\n\n\n\nRev Ruth has been a Centers for Spiritual Living Practitioner for 27 years and a Centers for Spiritual Living Minister for 19 years. She founded a CSL Center and a Teaching Chapter and served as Spiritual Director of both.She is currently a Centers for Spiritual Living educator teaching spiritual development classes online with people from all over the world in attendance. Like many of her contemporaries\, she searched for fulfillment through relationships\, career\, motherhood\, subculture experiences\, political activism\, and spiritual practice. \n\n\n\nWhile she had never planned to go to India\, it was on the banks of the Ganges River that her search ended. In 1990\, Gangaji met her teacher\, Sri H.W.L. As an adventurer\, she trekked 480 miles across Spain on El Camino and summited the world’s highest mountain pass in Nepal.  \n\n\n\nShe served four years as senior minister of Unity of Naples and over 12 years at Unity of Roanoke Valley VA; and\, is an author\, TV host & radio personality and 2009 recipient of the YWCA Women of Achievement Award in Religion. Assorted wines\, desserts\, appetizers and treats will be available as we enjoy time with each other while perusing and bidding on items throughout the evening. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMusic\n\n\n\nAt 7pm\, a local\, wonderfully fun\, funky-blues-jazz dance band\, Two Matts and a Jack will begin playing. They will play two 45-minute sets. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAnd\, be ready…Rev. Kathy will join them on piano for a couple of songs. Now\, that’s a celebration! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\nTickets for all seats are $25/each\, but we are grateful for a donation above that amount as this is our year end fundraiser for UCOA’s big plans in 2025! She specializes in working with organizations and individuals where key relationships are in conflict.
