He will also offer a workshop following service. More details will be available soon. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Drew Dellinger\, Ph.D.\n\n\n\nDrew Dellinger\, Ph.D.\, is an internationally known speaker\, poet\, writer\, and teacher whose keynotes and poetry performances — which address ecology\, justice\, cosmology\, and connectedness — have inspired minds and hearts around the world. He’s a former scholar in residence at Martin Luther King\, Jr. Institute at Stanford University. He’s a formerprofessor/director of the Social Ecology program at John F. Kennedy University. He is also a consultant\, filmmaker\, and founder of Planetize the Movement. \n\n\n\nDellinger has presented at over 1400 events across the US\, UK\, Canada\, and Australia. He has spoken and performed at numerous conferences — including TEDWomen\, Bioneers\, the Green Festival\, the Dream Reborn\, and the Parliament of the World’s Religions — as well as colleges and universities\, poetry venues\, protests\, and places of worship. \n\n\n\nHe has shared podiums and stages with luminaries such as Alice Walker\, Cornel West\, Thomas Berry\, Danny Glover\, Jim Carrey\, Julia Butterfly Hill\, Brian Swimme\, Paul Hawken\, Chuck D\, Joanna Macy\, and many others. \n\n\n\nDellinger’s award-winning book of poems\, Love Letter to the Milky Way\, was selected by ForeWord Reviews magazine as a 2011 Book of the Year Award Finalist. Now in its sixth printing\, Love Letter has devoted readers in dozens of countries on six continents. Dellinger’s work has appeared in films\, books\, anthologies\, and magazines—from The New York Times magazine to YES!\, Tikkun\, Mother Jones\, Huffington Post\, Kosmos\, Common Ground\, andothers. She is the author of 17 books\, four of which have been #1 The New York Times best sellers. A quote from the mega-bestseller A Return to Love\, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. DESCRIPTION:Consider stepping into a bold new way of being of Sacred Service and of learning a powerful transformative way to pray. \n\n\n\nFacilitated by Rev. Kathy Zavada & Rev. Lynn Fritz. \n\n\n\nWe invite you to consider taking the next step by deepening your understanding of a more powerful way to pray and connect with the Creative Power of the Universe\, by becoming a Prayer Chaplain. \n\n\n\nOur Prayer Chaplain Training Program is an intensive retreat over two days on June 5th and 6th. We offer this training both in person and online. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNo prior experience in prayer or praying is required to serve as a Prayer Chaplain. However\, you must be a formal member of UCOA to attend this training. \n\n\n\nTraining will be held in person at the Havurah\, 185 N.
