She is a Shakespearean actress and leads workshops in Living Life as Sacred Theatre and Sacred Studies of the Divine Feminine. Since 1987\, she has also been the principal teaching associate of Dr. Jean Houston. \n\n\n\nWorking with Jean\, Peggy has presented classes\, workshops and trainings throughout the United States\, and in Australia\, New Zealand\, England\, Ireland\, Sweden\, Greece\, Egypt\, The Netherlands\, India\, West Africa\, Indonesia\, Hong Kong\, Taiwan\, Jamaica\, and on behalf of the United Nations Development Programme\, in Albania\, St. Lucia\, Barbados\, Kenya\, and the Philippines. \n\n\n\nIn her book\, To Be and How To Be: Transforming Your Life through Sacred Theatre\, Peggy highlights the “Nine Powers of Sacred Theatre” to probe the sacred theatre of our lives as a spiritual path of transformation. \n\n\n\nSpirituality and Practice summarizes Peggy’s teaching as: \n\n\n\n“The metaphor of life as the stage on which we embody our passion and purpose is a rich one…[and]…The important thing to remember is that each of us is the leading character in our life\, which means we must do our best to be at our best. It is also essential that we develop the story of our life and put it in sync with the unfolding story of Life on Earth. She is a Shakespearean actress and leads workshops in Living Life as Sacred Theatre and Sacred Studies of the Divine Feminine. Since 1987\, she has also been the principal teaching associate of Dr. Jean Houston. \n\n\n\nWorking with Jean\, Peggy has presented classes\, workshops and trainings throughout the United States\, and in Australia\, New Zealand\, England\, Ireland\, Sweden\, Greece\, Egypt\, The Netherlands\, India\, West Africa\, Indonesia\, Hong Kong\, Taiwan\, Jamaica\, and on behalf of the United Nations Development Programme\, in Albania\, St. Lucia\, Barbados\, Kenya\, and the Philippines. \n\n\n\nIn her book\, To Be and How To Be: Transforming Your Life through Sacred Theatre\, Peggy highlights the “Nine Powers of Sacred Theatre” to probe the sacred theatre of our lives as a spiritual path of transformation. \n\n\n\nSpirituality and Practice summarizes Peggy’s teaching as: \n\n\n\n“The metaphor of life as the stage on which we embody our passion and purpose is a rich one…[and]…The important thing to remember is that each of us is the leading character in our life\, which means we must do our best to be at our best. It is also essential that we develop the story of our life and put it in sync with the unfolding story of Life on Earth. Her work expands artistic boundaries\, blurring the distinctions between musical styles\, politics\, and spirituality. She is a maestra of collaboration and makes music that changes how we experience ourselves and the world. \n\n\n\nOver the course of ten albums\, her music has been shaped by her lifelong involvement in environmental\, women’s\, and justice movements as well as Buddhist practice. Her approach to music as a transformative experience creates a strong rapport with audiences from small venues to large events throughout the world. \n\n\n\nJennifer teaches at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco in the department of Philosophy and Religion. Kathy. “In the Rig Veda it says\, ‘Truth is One\, the sages speak of it by many names.’ In other words\, there is a single\, ultimate Reality\, but it is understood and expressed in many ways. The Great Mother as the ultimate Reality has been worshiped for many\, many thousands of years\, long before the patriarchal focus of God as Father born out of the monotheistic religions of Judaism\, Islam and Christianity.“In our Interfaith tradition\, we explore the great Truth that is One\, as it is expressed in myriad forms\,” Rev. Just click the button below to get started: \n\n\n\n\norder tickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Swami\n\n\n\n“Here is the great paradox of Cosmic Comic Consciousness: The world is in serious condition\, and yet there is definitely something funny going on.” Swami Beyondananda\, whose favorite yoga pose is tongue-in-cheek (and occasionally foot-in-mouth) is bringing his comedy disguised as wisdom—or is it wisdom disguised as comedy—to Unity Community of Ashland. \n\n\n\nSeriously and humorously\, in these way-too-serious times\, this is the perfect opportunity to take humor more seriously and seriousness more humorously. Noted author and presidential candidate Marianne Williamson has called the Swami “the Mark Twain of our times\,” and as such Swami has a “one-twack mind”—that’s the laugh twack. And he has one “loco motive”—to keep you laughing till the sacred cows come home. \n\n\n\nNow\, the Swami is not one of those gurus who expects people to accept his teachings without questioning. If you have an answerable question for the Swami\, the Swami will have a questionable answer for you. \n\n\n\nAs the Swami tells us\, there are two kinds of people in the world—the kind who divide people into two kinds and the kind who don’t. If you’re part of the former group\, there are two other kinds of people in the world: the ones who love to laugh\, and the ones who need to. If you fit either category\, come laugh with (or at\, he doesn’t care) the Swami. Like many of her contemporaries\, she searched for fulfillment through relationships\, career\, motherhood\, subculture experiences\, political activism\, and spiritual practice. \n\n\n\nWhile she had never planned to go to India\, it was on the banks of the Ganges River that her search ended. In 1990\, Gangaji met her teacher\, Sri H.W.L.
