Kathy Zavada leads us in prayer\, meditation and will give the talk. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGuest Music\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are delighted to welcome the talented Jennifer Berezan as our muscial guest. She will also offer a workshop after service. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Jennifer Berezan\n\n\n\nJennifer is a visionary artist\, activist and producer. Her work expands artistic boundaries\, blurring the distinctions between musical styles\, politics\, and spirituality. She is a maestra of collaboration and makes music that changes how we experience ourselves and the world. \n\n\n\nOver the course of ten albums\, her music has been shaped by her lifelong involvement in environmental\, women’s\, and justice movements as well as Buddhist practice. Her approach to music as a transformative experience creates a strong rapport with audiences from small venues to large events throughout the world. \n\n\n\nJennifer teaches at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco in the department of Philosophy and Religion. Her on-going class (since 1997) is entitled “The Healing Ecstasy of Sound” and explores music as a spiritual practice from a wide range of traditional and contemporary perspectives. \n\n\n\nJennifer will perform at Jackson Wellsprings on Saturday\, November 15 @ 7:30pm.
